Instructions on how to convert new versions (2.5 - 5.1) of Robo Master GSD files to RoboMaster Version 2.4
First of all you have to download and install.
These Three free products from the Internet:
- all the Robo Master versions from http://www.littlebit.com/ (download these versions and put them in different folders. You do not have to download the driver files for these different versions because you’re only going to use them to view them and print a pdf file)
- cutepdf from http://www.cutepdf. com/download/ CuteWriter. Exe. When you install this it will show up as a printer selection anytime you click on print.
- Inkscape version 0.47 (prior versions do not open pdf files) from http://www.inkscape.org/
Open Appropriate Robo Master Version:
- Open the Robo Master gsd version of the file you are trying to convert. For instance go to the 5.1 Robo Master folder you created to open files created using this version. Then open the gsd file you want to convert.
- Then in Robo Master click on "output settings" and then click on "print cut lines" to check this.
- Then from the drop down list select the CutePDF as the printer instead of your default printer.
- Then click on Output to printer. This creates a PDF file. Now that you have a PDF file you can load it into Inkscape
- Open Inkscape and open the pdf file you just created.
- Once you open it then click on "Path" and then click on "simplify" this will get rid of all the unwanted nodes.
- Then click on "File" and select "Save as" and select DXF and save the DXF file
Open Robo Master Version 2.4
- Open Robo Master -Version 2.4 and then click on "File" and then click on "Load DXF file"
