More Gsd files will be loaded:

Okay, since I work as a programmer during the week, I will not be able to load files until the weekend.  So every Monday there should be 1 - 3 new files loaded every week.  Again, I want to thank everyone for coming to my site.  Click on the Free GSD Files link on left hand side for all the free files so far.  This is the way I am paying back all the people who came before me that helped me.  Thanks again everyone for all you kind words.  If this is your first visit, please leave a comment by clicking on the comment link just below on this post.  I am looking for constructive criticism.

Happy 4th July:

It's early in the morning and I just wanted to get this post out there before I get busy with fixing food for 4th of July.  As I said earlier I have been on vacation and I have spent quite a bit of time creating new files.  I am taking advantage of it since I don't get the time that often.  I finished the pumpkin scene I was working on.  I have to do some minor adjustments to make it cut better but for the most part it looks great when it is cut out.  I am thinking about adding some welded words like Fall 2008 and then turning it into a decoration for a scrapbook page as well as the current format for a card.  If you were wondering where my frog files are, I took them off the site since I do not want anyone to see them before the swap finishes in the easywishbladers group.  I will put them back on after the 1st of August. 

On Vacation:

I've  been on vacation this week which means I have had some time to create some new files.  I had some fun creating a couple of designs with frogs.   A friend at work has two boys and they have just discovered frogs so that inspired me to create these.  I am thinking about creating a digi_file using them.  My friend is a great photographer and I want these designs to look professional.  I am a member of EasyWishbladers and I submitted these frog files in their June_July Swap.  After working on those I created a couple of borders and an Iris Flower cutaway for a card.  Here is the Iris flower.  This design would be perfect for a Mother's day card. 

I also started a new design with pumpkins and fall leaves.  I think this is going to be really pretty.  I am spending a lot of time on it which usually pays off because they turn out to be my best. 

If there is anyone out there looking at my site I would love to hear from you.  All comments good or bad are welcome.  I am looking for constructive criticism.

Easy Wishbladers

I joined a new group a few weeks back called the easywishbladers. They are a very friendly group who help others learn to use their wishblade or their craft robo.  It's fun to help others.  To see them progress from their first welded word to their first cut file.  It's the kind of group I have been looking for.  It is small enough not to get lost in and yet big enough to have newbies come on board to learn from our past experiences.  That's what this is all about sharing and having fun.  I created a few files for them so I have not been doing as much of my own design. 

I finished the moose card and sent it off and it was received with lots of laughter and joy which made it worth while to create.  That's why I do this.  I also finished another screen.  The last one was a grass screen and now this one is a dogwood screen.  I am working on another one that will be a stained glass screen.  I picked up a couple of old files I had and reworked them as well.  I like them better now.  The pansy  corner and the moon and the stars frame.  After I finish the projects I have already started, I plan on working on sports frames and 4th of July . 

I have a couple of cards I have to get out over the next week or two.  One for a retirement and one for my sister who has been battleling cancer.  My sister has been so brave about this whole thing.  I am so proud of her. 

 

I Finally Finished the Racoon Design

I have been working on this racoon design for weeks.  It was hard to do because the racoon kept looking meaner and meaner with every change I made.  Finally my husband said you need to do this with the eyes.  I said okay, so I began to make the changes and then everything started to fall into place and I am finally happy with it.  I wanted it to be cuter but at least it is not so mean looking.  Please let me know if you think it is still mean looking.

This design can be used on a large card.  I say large because the larger the design the better it cuts.  It works on a regular size card but you have to work at getting some of the pieces to remove.  I am creating a picture from this to hang in my bathroom. 

Well as you can see I finished another project as well.  I created a Swan, Dove Border and Frame for a wedding scrapbook page.  It didn't turn out like I wanted it to but after doing the racoon I did not have that much energy to put into it.   I placed a picture of this in my designs but I don't know how long it is going to be there since I am not happy with it. 

The next project I am doing is a moose.  A co-worker at work is having a knee replacement and he loves moose.  He calls himself the moose man.  So I thought I would create a card with a moose on it for him.
