Rhinestone designs in svg, gsd and dxf formats

I sort of got the fever for wanting to do rhinestone designs.  I am starting out very simple and I know I will eventually get more detailed.  LOL  Is anyone out there doing rhinestones designs.  I bought the rhinestone kit from Graphtec for the silhouette cameo/craft robo machine.   It contained 3 template sheets, 3 transfer tape sheets and 3 backer boards.  I got so excited I had to try one this morning.  Sooooo I created a simple design to put on my grand daugher's t-shirts which I just purchased this morning.  I bought two pink blank t-shirts, and 2 white blank t-shirts. This design is very simple since I wanted to test how the pattern cut out on the template pattern which is like a velveteen cloth.  It cut out great!  I have the bug now!!!!!  Oh I almost forgot to tell you I bought 4mm rhinestones and they are coming sometime this week.  I can't wait to get everything so I can see if this all works.   Soooooo excited.  Anyway here is the simple design I created as well as the final template pattern attached to the backer board so you can use this over and over again.  How great is that!

So now when I get the rhinestones I will brush them into the holes on the pattern board.  I will then use the transfer sheets to transfer the rhinestones onto the t-shirts and then iron them on.   I can't wait to see the result.  Are you excited as much as I am?  I will post later this week to show the results.

Rock wall Climbing

My nephew went to the trials for the Nationals this year.  He broke his wrist skiing and was not able to place.  We are so proud of him, so I wanted to capture him at the trials competition.  I have worked on this on and off for over a month now.   All I have done is created the design but not sure how I am going to make it into a card yet.  I tried to make this look 3D but with very little success.  The only way to do this is to change the color on the different aspects of the protrusions.  This wall is not just flat.  It has protrusions which makes it more difficult to climb.  I wanted to capture that.  I may give up on this and just take it into photoshop and turn it into a neat picture and then just create the card using the image.  I will let you know what happens, but for right now I am not doing anymore.  My question is, does this look like it is flat or can you see the protrusions?

Ice Skaters on Pond in svg, gsd, and dxf formats

I just finished this design.  A customer asked about this file that I designed a few years ago.  I finally found it and saw that I never finished it.  Soooo I looked at it again and made some major changes to it so it could cut out good.  I tested this and it cuts out good.  It is very intricate and requires a little patience when weeding it, but for the most part it releases pretty good.  I listed this on Etsy since it took me a while to do.  I decided that this is going to be this year's Christmas card for me.

I just listed a free file for the Fall Title Design.  Just click on the free files button on the right and it will take you to my free files page.  I am putting this out here to celebrate the end of Winter.  We had a real bad one.  A big ice boulder crased down onto our porch roof and did around 4,000 in damage.  My husband's truck broke down in a snow drift in the yard and the wind caught the barn door and almost ripped it off it's hinges.  As you can see I am really, really happy to move past all of this.  However, all through this I was happy working on my designs.  You've just got to have something you love to do to keep you happy!  I'm so thankful for my craft robo pro II.  

Raccoon in a Tree design in svg, gsd, dxf formats

I just finished designing this.  This contains two frames, one for the tree trunk, and one for the ivy, and then the raccoon head.  You can use this as a card topper or you can use it as a cut-away.  I like the tree trunk as a cutaway and the ivy as a frame on top.  I am going to test cut this out today but wanted to see what you might think about this design.  I got a request for a raccoon design a few weeks back and I am just now finishing this design.  I worked on this while I was updating my website.  I first started this design with the raccoon siticking his head out of a rotten log but then I changed it to a tree trunk.  My question is, is the tree trunk design realistic.  I put the outline of the tree in the design initially, but then I just decided I would design just the hole in the tree so I could give more emphasis on the raccoon.  Did I make the right decision?  I just posted this on Etsy.  It cut out great for me.

 

Cup cake Holder/easter basket in svg, gsd, dxf formats now in my store

I just listed my cup cake holder/ easter basket I made a couple of years ago for me to use at Easter.  My Etsy Store I wanted something that would hold a cupcake as well as easter grass and some candy.  This is the design I came up with.  I pIaced them at each place setting on the dinner table and it really made my table look fantastic.  I am going to list orther designs in a few days that are not related to Easter.  

I got featured!

I really do like it.  It allows you to embede it onto your blog or create a pdf file to send to customers.  If you click on my Store folder you can see it as well.

Again I want to thank everyone for their patience while I updated by blog.  Not sure if anyone noticed, but I tried to create a blog that shows off  digital cutting concepts.  My tool bar was created by welding the words together in inkscape, and then creating pictures of them, and then uploading them into my typepad account and then modifying code to display them.  I also used my swirl frame, I designed a few years ago, to frame the "free files" button.  I created the picture using inkscape to create silhouettes of a cutting machine, the mat, and the tools needed to weed pieces out.  I created the banner in inkscape again using silhouettes of files that I have designed in the past.  I have a few more things I will be doing, but for the most part I am done.

 

New Web Page Design

I have been working all week on redesigning my blog.  I wanted to make it simpler and easier to navigate to all my files.  It still is a work in progress, but I have accomplished some of my goals.    I added a catalog to my store which shows all my files that I sell.  I also added a picture link on my home page to get to my free files.  Let me know what you think?

Customizations

I have done a few customizations this last few weeks.  People have asked me to modify some of my files to meet their needs.  Here are some pictures of them below.

Mountain Biker design in svg, gsd, and dxf formats

My Nephew loves to mountain bike.  I decided to do a card for him for his birthday in May this year.  It cut out terrifically.  I used the design of the woods I did earlier for the bear and cub and placed it behind the bike and just like magic you have a mountain biker.   I am so thrilled about this.  His son does mountain climbing in the gym and has won many competitions, so the next thing is designing a moutain climber.  Here is the picture of the bike.  

Free svg file for a Water Splash wallet frame

Okay, I am very tired of winter so I got refreshed by revisiting one of my summer designs for a picture frame for photos taken on the beach, lake or pool.  I made this for my grand daughter's pictures when she was on the beach pouring water onto herself from a big bucket.  I loved these pictures and so gave them a perfect setting.  This frame is huge, it just fits on a 12 x 12 scrapbooking page and will hold 3 wallet size photos.  I am giving this away free.  It is on my free files for 2014 and 2015 folder.  I also listed it below.   I hope you enjoy this.

Thanks again everyone for commenting on my files.  I appreciate the great comments, however I always appreciate honesty, soooooo please let me know if you don't like it too.  It helps me to get an idea of what others like.  Of course I'm going to lean towaard what I like, but sometimes I have to push the envelope and try things I haven't done before such as the bluegrass band design.  I think this design would make a great invitation to a bluegrass jam session.  This design will possibly change because I now have to get it where it will cut out great.   I always have to make modifications when I do that.  Again thanks eveyone for commenting.  It makes me keep doing this.  Remember, always laugh, smile and dance at least once everyday!

SVG and GSD design for a Bluegrass Jam Invitation Card

My Husband has been in a bluegrass band on and off over the years.  He plays the guitar and is a lead singer.  He's been asking me to design a card with bluegrass instruments.  Each time I started to do this I just couldn't get my mind wrapped around it.  Yesterday, I took another stab at it.  It's not final but it is a lot further along than I have ever gotten.  It's hard to do because of all the strings on the instruments.   As you can see I left the strings out and was able to get a lot further this time.  Let me know what ya think about it.  Is it a keeper or not?
